When are payments due?
Payments are due by the 5th of every month. If the 5th lands on a weekend, the payment is due by the following tuesday.
What are your hours and rates?
Our classrooms are open from 7:15am to 5:30pm. Our office is open from 7:45am to 5:30pm. For our rates, please check our tuition chart.
When will my child move to a new classroom?
We keep a close eye on all of our students, monitoring their age as well as their social/emotional development, their cognitive development, and their overall interaction with the classroom. When we start to recognize that the child is growing beyond the levels appropriate to their classroom, they will be considered for advancement. However, movement is also dependent on space in the next classroom and so their may be a waiting period before immediate movement. Please let us know if you are interested in your child’s movement to another class.
Why did I receive two invoices?
We send out the basic monthly tuition invoices either at the end of the previous month or the 1st of the current month. This gives everyone the full 5 days to make their tuition payment. If you have received a second invoice, this is for any extended hours accumulated over the previous month. Because we need all the attendance sheets to be turned in, and time to process them and send out the billing, these invoices often can’t be sent out till the 3rd of the month. This may be why you have received two invoices. If you have, feel free to pay for them with one check.
For example: January tuition will be sent out December 31st/January 1st. December Extended Hours will be sent out by January 3rd at the latest.
What are my payment options?
You may pay by cash, check, credit card, or ACH. Cash and check payments can be dropped off in your child’s classroom or at the office. Credit card and ACH payments can be made through our billing platform, Brightwheel. As of March 2024, the fees are as follows: CC – 2.95% and ACH – 0.6%, $0.25 min, $2 max.
Do you accept assistance?
Yes, we work with several different assistance groups. Please contact your provider and ask to list us as one of your choices for a care center. They will send us an authorization for your assistance.
What days do you close?
Children’s World follows the Anchorage School District Schedule of full closures. The following days we will be closed:

Spring Break (5 days)
Memorial Day
Juneteenth
Independence Day
Labor Day
Indigenous Peoples Day
Veteran’s Day
Thanksgiving Weekend
Winter Break (10 days)
We will also be closed for all ASD determined snow days. All dates will be posted on our event calendar as well as on our Facebook. Generally, we are informed by 6am of any unscheduled closures.
No proration or discounts are given due to closures or holidays. Many times, these holidays are used for staff training’s or for school maintenance, and the schools standard running costs continue during these times.
